The Federal

Why?When is the last time you had a jar of duck?

Colorfully billed as a “modern American tavern where Paul Revere rubs elbows with Jumpin’ Jack Flash,” The Federal is the newest restaurant to take its inspiration from a woodsy mountain lodge, punctuated by mounted taxidermy and cast-iron reindeer. The menu from chef Cesar Zapata (a veteran of the Four Seasons and co-owner of Phuc Yea) is upscale, inventive comfort food all the way. Dishes include pig wings (a cross between buffalo wings and short ribs) and the Jar-o-Duck, slow-cooked duck on crostini.
