Red Hot Chili Peppers Postpone 2012 US Tour, Reschedule South Florida Gig

Being the frontman of one of the biggest bands on the planet can be a real pain in the sesamoid bone and flexor tendon. Just ask Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Anthony Kiedis.

The porn ‘stachioed rocker recently underwent surgery to treat a bum foot, the result of “multiple” injuries. And regrettably, RHCP have postponed the start of their 2012 US tour, which was scheduled to kick off at the BankAtlantic Center next week.

The Peps just announced the postponement via facebook.com/ChiliPeppers:

Red Hot Chili Peppers regret to announce that they must postpone the start of their upcoming U.S. tour due to multiple foot injuries sustained by Anthony Kiedis. Anthony recently underwent surgery to remove a crushed sesamoid bone and correct a detached flexor tendon in his foot and is expected to make a full recovery.

The rescheduled date for the BankAtlantic gig is Monday, April 2. According the band’s website, “tickets for the postponed dates will be honored at the rescheduled dates.”
