Located in the Mid-Beach area—the historic “heart of Miami Beach” between South Beach and North Beach—on a three and a half-acre private enclave stretching from Collins Avenue to the ocean shoreline, The Miami Beach EDITION is not merely a hotel, but an elegantly designed, intricately interlinked complex of structures, spaces, and settings that together offer a new kind of resort environment. Every aspect of the traditional beach hotel has been re-imagined for the needs and desires of a new generation, and every thought given to enhancing a guest’s stay: for vacation, for relaxation—and for work. Here is more information about Miami Beach Edition Hotel :
According to MiamiHerald :
“The new design brings a modern look to an old building. Located at 2901 Collins Avenue, the former Seville Hotel was purchased in July 2010 by Marriott for $57.5 million. The remodeled hotel offers 294 rooms with 23 two-story bungalows and 26 residences on a 3.5-acre property. Designed by Yabu Pushelberg/I.S.C. Design Studio, the EDITION includes two swimming pools, a dance club, an ice skating rink and a bowling alley. Rates range from $429 a night for a standard room up to $10,000 a night for a bungalow. Marriott president and CEO Arne Sorenson had Miami in mind for an EDITION hotel for a specific reason. ‘Let’s pick key cities where we know these hotels will do great, cities that are also about where the influencers in the world experience things so that they could see this quickly and obviously communicate about what they’re finding'”
According to MiamiCurbed :
“There’s lots and lots to say about the Miami Beach Edition, famous hotelier Ian Schrager’s latest creation at the historic Seville Hotel in Mid Beach (it’s gorgeous, it’s pristine, it’s historic, the man is obviously obsessive compulsive, and don’t even think about tracking mud through this place) but that’s for later. For now, photos of the hotel’s numerous public spaces.”
