Lenny Kravitz Announces First US Tour in Five Years, (Funk) Rocks Miami Beach February 25

Christmas came early indeed.

According to a press release sent moments ago to Crossfade, Lenny Kravitz “is pleased to announce dates for his first American tour in five years!” Best of all, dude’s got a gig in the Big Mango.

The “nearly 20-city tour” kicks off at New York City’s Radio City Music Hall on January 28 and wraps up in Kravtiz’s adopted hometown with a February 25 performance at the Fillmore Miami Beach.

Whether you bought a hard copy at Best Buy or downloaded it on iTunes, surely you fell in love with Kravitz’s ninth studio album, Black and White America, released earlier this year on Roadrunner Records.

The funk-rock LP featured collaborations with Jay-Z and Drake, debuted atop German and Swiss charts, and sold over 20,000 copies its first week in the US–a respectable number in the digital age.

We were so enamored with Black and White America that we bought a copy for everyone in our family. But shhh … Don’t tell them! It’s a stocking stuffer. Our personal recipe for a funky Christmas morning.

Lenny Kravitz. Saturday, February 25. Fillmore Miami Beach, 1700 Washington Ave., Miami Beach. Tickets on sale soon via ticketmaster.com. Call 305-673-7300 or visit fillmoremb.com.
