LeBron James Hates Pat Riley and Wants to Go Back to Cleveland, According to Some Columnist

So, apparently LeBron James isn’t exactly a big fan of Miami Heat prez Pat Riley’s management style. And unless Riley heads into retirement soon, James is supposedly thinking about packing up and taking his talents back to Cleveland. That’s according to FoxSportsOhio.com columnist Sam Amico, anyway.

Amico sources his claims to “talk,” “sneaking suspicions,” unidentified “sources in Miami,” and “speculation” while churning out this nugget:
Now, there is talk that James is less-than-thrilled with certain aspects of the Heat organization. Sources in Miami say that while James still thoroughly enjoys playing alongside fellow stars Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh, he doesn’t particularly care for the heavy-handed and disciplined style of team president Pat Riley.

James can opt out of his contract at the end of the 2003-14 season, and speculation is he will strongly consider it if Riley remains in his current role. And the team James would be eyeballing most in free agency, say those close to the situation, would be the Cavs.
Amico is a former NBA.com reporter and writes national pieces for FoxSports.com, so it’s not like he’s some regional press hack. But this column ranks in the same sports journalism league with week-old pictures of naked Marlins players in a tub for traffic-baiting purposes.

Sure, everyone knows Pat Riley is kind of a dick, but LeBron won’t leave Miami for Cleveland unless either team’s chances of winning a championship suddenly and terminally changes in the next two years. We’d comment further, but we’re not big fans of wasting our time.
