There is an undeniable spirit surrounding the Stubborn Seed that stems from Jeremy Ford. His tenacious demeanor and candor define the cuisine, but his technique boosts it.

Great Food, Excellent service and nice ambiance with a terrific staff. In other words it didn't suck. Definitely will go back for more. Tell your friends and families.

It must be said first that this restaurant is really, really good. however, I can’t say that I was expecting a little more. the tasting menu seemed maybe a bit uninspired for the price while the a la carte menu is likely the better option for most. they were unable to make their version of the old fashioned (what were they missing I wonder?) but the two cocktails I had were actually some of my favorite parts of the whole meal. talked to a few friends afterwards who mentioned they had heard of this restaurant up and coming several years ago but hadn’t heard much since which makes sense to me. seemed like it had a direction in the past which might be slightly fading away now. again, still a great meal. 8.5/10, might return.

There’s a true teamwork environment that’s apparent to make each person’s dining experience spectacular. Our server, Steven, was just incredible. You can tell that the owner truly hires rockstars. We got the tasting menu and wine pairing and couldn’t have been happier with the choice!

Stubborn Seed is surely the most creative and inventive restaurant in South Beach, and maybe the best. The food is extraordinary and the service matches it, everyone was so pleasant and knowledgeable and helpful. We have been twice, the first time going with another couple we ordered 4 starters and 4 mains and split everything. It was wonderful. We returned last night to have the tasting menu and I would highly recommend it for anyone with the time. The food was to die for; we kept asking ourselves what was our favorite but each course equaled or topped the one before. And get the wine pairing to go with he tasting menu, glorious wines that went perfectly with each course. If you're a foodie at all, run, don't walk, to Stubborn Seed!

The food was just amazing and the service super kind and nice. We were nicely given suggestion so to try out-the-box menu items. And we were not disappointed, at all! Dishes are small - so don't go there if you're literally starving. That said we went with the chicken liver, the oysters, the lobster, the 28years aged steak to finish with the cookies and everything was stunning. Simple, yet sophisticated and surprising. Only 4 stars because the place is really noisy.
