III. FSC Interactive Events

Since the first Florida Supercon back in 2006, there has been a section of the convention for attendees to come, sit down, and play their favorite video and tabletop games. This has been a staple of every convention under the Supercon umbrella. We have always called it FSC Gaming.

Last year, with Florida Supercon 2013, we chose to expand FSC Gaming far beyond what we had previously done at all conventions prior. Not only did the gaming area more than triple in size, but we were fortunate enough to gain some fantastic vendors to help; including ORIGIN PC bringing forty gaming PCs and the Florida Arcade and Pinball Expo bringing in some classic pinball and arcade cabinets. We were also fortunate enough to bring Geek Xtreme Entertainment back to run our tabletop game areas. Our game rooms were full of attendees all four days and we realized just how much we want the game track to not only grow, but evolve.

Game rooms are great and we tend to receive quite a bit of positive feedback in regards to them. But as much as we want our free play and tournament areas to thrive, there is far more that we can do and far more that we aspire to do than run video game and tabletop gaming rooms.

Gaming is an action that is but one mere aspect of the culture. As with our other tracks, we want guests, events, panels. We want to show off some games that our attendees might not otherwise see. We want to bring in our own attendees. For Florida Supercon 2014, our games track will go from an area to play games to one where attendees will experience a culture. With Supercon going through many changes this year with our move to the Miami Beach Convention Center, so too will the games track adapt.

So, in our aspiration to advance, we bring you FSC Interactive. Not only are we bringing you the tabletop and video game play rooms, the arcade machines, the tournaments, but we also have developers coming from different parts of the globe, panels.

The Tournament will include these games : Johann Sebastian Joust, Titanfall and Killer Instinct,  League of Legends, Super Smash Bros. and Mario Kart 8,  Classic Game Speedrun. For complete information of the Tournaments, please click HERE.
