Siempre Flamenco’s Festival de Cante Flamenco returns to the Arsht Center for a mesmerizing and passionate production featuring Spain’s brightest stars. This festival, a celebration of cante, brings South Florida audiences a unique opportunity to enjoy an art form that is seldom heard outside of Spain. The deep emotions that emanate from flamenco song unite with the intricate fury of dance in a unique performance that will exhilarate audiences with an up-close experience in the Carnival Studio Theater.

The 10th anniversary edition of the festival, dedicated to the great flamenco poet Manuel Molina, sees several world-renowned artists take the stage. Flamenco superstar La Susi and singer José Mendez, a descendant of flamenco legend La Paquera, will both make their Miami debuts. Singer Ismael de la Rosa will make his second appearance at the festival. Guest guitarist Paco Fernandez along with Paco Fonta  will provide accompaniment.

This year’s program will be complemented with a strong offering of dance. Guest artist Sonia Olla will make her debut performance at the festival, and will premiere a new work. Founding Director Celia Fonta will also premiere a new work, using the famous “Bata de Cola” (long train dress) in the Solea style.
