The Idea Center at Miami Dade College’s (MDC) Pioneers @ MDC lecture series presents Felix W. Ortiz III, founder, chairman and CEO of Veridis Learning, an education technology company that builds and matches talent and employees. His presentation will take place at 6 p.m., Tuesday, May 19, at The Idea Center at the Wolfson Campus in downtown Miami. This event is free and open to the public, but seats must be reserved in advance.

Born and raised in Brooklyn, Ortiz started several companies, including Visionary Trade & Expert, which he founded at age 20. After several multi-million-dollar deals through this venture, he turned his sights toward helping others. Veridis combines workforce education and human capital solutions for the middle-skill workforce. Ortiz has also served his country in the U.S. Army   

The Idea Center @ MDC, an entrepreneurship hub that serves as a co-curricular engine of innovation and idea development for all MDC students across all disciplines, includes a venture incubator called CREATE to nurture and turn suitable student business projects into a reality. It is housed at the downtown Wolfson Campus but with college-wide programs.

Pioneers @ MDC has previously presented Juan Diego Calle, founder of CO Internet SAS, George Logothetis, founder of multibillion dollar international business group The Libra Group and Jim McKelvey, co-founder of the multi-billion-dollar company Square and the non-profit LaunchCode.
