It’s always a great time for a ballet! Miami City Ballet is returning this season with world premieres and classics as they present Program II: “”See the Music””

Considered one of George Balanchine’s signature works, Concerto Barocco is set to a glorious Bach Violin Concerto. Leading contemporary choreographer Nacho Duato’s Jardí Tancat, based on Catalan folk songs, is lyrical, soulful and profoundly Spanish. And created for MCB by visionary choreographer Alexei Ratmansky, the dramatic, fast-paced Symphonic Dances – set to Sergei Rachmaninoff’s powerful score – is back by popular demand.

JUST ADDED! – Following the sold-out, one-night-only April 2013 World Premiere with New World Symphony, Chutes and Ladders — by up-and-coming choreographer Justin Peck — makes its mainstage debut as an apt addition to this musically driven program.
