The Miami Carnaval, also known simply as Calle Ocho is a “Celebration Of All Things Miami” from food and drinks to live music performances.
The idea was born during a fun summer in the 70s when a group of Miami kids decided to start an affiliate of Kiwanis International. They wanted to be heard. They wanted to be different. They wanted to change the world. They started Calle Ocho Music Festival, which soon became the largest Hispanic festival in the country. Soon after, all-time partner The Miami Herald suggested to expand the party to a larger audience and Carnaval Miami was born as the platform for all shapes of art, music, fashion, cuisine, and sports.
The festival is free for everyone to join and will take place Sunday March 10th. This incredible festival spans across the historic Calle Ocho from SW 27th ave to SW 12th ave!
