In 2013, at age 64, long-distance swimmer Diana Nyad achieved a decades-long dream when she became the first person to swim from Havana to Key West without a shark cage. As part of a series of author events leading up to the 2015 Miami Book Fair at Miami Dade College (MDC), Nyad will present her new memoir, Find a Way, at 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 2, at MDC Wolfson Campus in downtown Miami.

In her new memoir, Nyad recounts her record-breaking swim from Cuba to Florida and her extraordinary quest to live life at the highest level, in and out of the water. She’s competed on Dancing with the Stars, been featured on Ted Talks, documentary films, and more.

Purchase Find a Way at Books & Books and a voucher will be held at “WILL CALL.” The voucher entitles a customer to receive one copy of the book and also serves as entry for two people into Nyad’s talk and book signing event. This event is co-presented with Books & Books and sponsored by The Women’s Fund of Miami-Dade and BNY Mellon Wealth Management.
