Miami Dade College’s (MDC) Center for Latin American and Caribbean Initiatives (CLACI) will host a conversation with Cuban lawyer Amelia Rodriguez Cala at 5:30 p.m., Thursday, June 5, at the Wolfson Campus.

 

Rodriguez Cala has gained international attention for her work defending dissidents in the Cuban tribunals. The event will shed light on the challenges of her work and of practicing the legal profession on the communist island.

 

This event will be in Spanish, and is free and open to the public.

 

Free parking is also available at the MDC parking garage (Building 7, entrance at NE 5 Street between First and Second avenues, right across the Fire Station).
