More Miami Heat celebrations took place over the weekend, first at Bamboo nightclub Friday night, where Dwyane Wade and his teammates partied like champs, and then on Sunday morning, when Wade, his kids and girlfriend Gabrielle Union had brunch at The Raleigh. “Lots of regular folks were getting autographs and some pictures,” says our spy. “It was very high energy and very celebratory.” Incidentally, Bamboo offered Wade $20,000 to show up after the game Thursday night, but that never happened and no money was exchanged, according to Wade’s publicist Amy Jacobs.
Heat honchos Micky Arison and Pat Riley were seen Saturday night at The Bazaar by Jose Andres at the SLS Hotel South Beach, where they entered and exited the room to cheers and applause.
Two international soccer stars playing for rival teams in the World Soccer Masters game at Sun Life Stadium found themselves side by side eating dinner Friday night in the private dining room at Cafe Prima Pasta. Argentinian Lionel (Leo) Messi enjoyed a late-night dinner with 12 members of his family. Sitting less than five feet away was Uruguyan soccer star Diego Forlan dining with his family. A large group of fans waited for hours outside in the rain for a glimpse of their fútbol heroes, who didn’t leave the restaurant until almost 2 a.m. The stars, who were “friendly” to each other, didn’t disappoint, signing autographs and posing for pictures.
George W. Bush’s daughter Jenna Bush-Hager was spotted Saturday night at The Forge Restaurant | Wine Bar with a group of girls for a bachelorette party for a close friend. Bush-Hager and her gang were also seen at The Spa at the Shore Club, where Law & Order star S. Epatha Merkerson was also seen with three friends having dinner at Terrazza.
In Miami for her best friend’s bachelorette party, reality personality Whitney Port hosted a girls’ getaway weekend. Kicking off the afternoon at Shore Club on Friday , the gals spent the day in the pool and on the beach. Later, Port called upon the stylists at Sean Donaldson Salon to get pampered in preparation for a big night out. The girls were spotted enjoying their primp party, sipping champagne and talking about the fun night they had ahead of them. From there, they headed to Bianca at the Delano for dinner, wrapping up their night around 3 a.m. On Saturday, Port hit The Spa at the Shore Club solo before taking her friends for a big dinner at Asia de Cuba at the Mondrian South Beach. After dinner, the ladies headed back to the Delano to party at FDR for the rest of the night.
