Arson opens at Miami

Insanely fascinated by flavors, and fixated by flames, we’ll cook anything we can get our hands on. So stand well back while we raze your appetite to the ground. Our coal cooked food may have escaped the flames. But it definitely wasn’t an accident… At the helm of ARSON is a chef, Deme Lomas, that’s fixated by flames. This is nothing to be afraid of, rather — there’s a lot to be excited about. Outfitted with a Josper oven-grill hybrid, the kitchen turns out boldly flavorful Euro-Asian fare with a focus on grilled meats and seafood. Keep an eye on the rotating specials menu, which offers new surprises every night.

According to The ZAGAT:

Chef Deme Lomas from nearby NIU crafts the charcoal-fired fare at this quirky Downtown Euro-Asian spot where seafood, meats and rotating specials are cooked in a Josper oven-grill hybrid. Built with industrial fixtures, wood-paneled walls and a rough-hewn bar, the room sets the stage for sharing dishes and sipping wine. “Everything we ordered at this restaurant was delicious and the staff very friendly. Delicious tapas style restaurant. This is a must try.” Written By Sandra Vallejo.

According To Eater:

The Josper Grill is certainly having its moment in the sun in Miami right now. Dozens of restaurants are using the Spanish grill — that burns 100 percent charcoal and can reach temperatures of 800º Fahrenheit — to char various proteins and veggies, but none is celebrating it more than the newly opened Arson (104 NE 2nd Avenue, Miami, FL 33132), which quietly debuted in Downtown late last month. For this latest venture they veered away from their trademark Spanish cooking to more rustic dishes where the ingredients (and the Smokey flavors) shine.

According to Restaurant Guru:

“I was a little bummed out as I really was looking forward to dine but as soon as I saw Arson I was surprised and intrigued by the place, incredible service, atmosphere and dining experience, wow, will recommend to everyone, a must visit restaurant. Another favorite, Thanks again.” written by Jorge V. “Nui Kitchen s Deme & Carina have done it again with their NEW restaurant ARSON! The roasted veggie cold soup & mushroom confit were the perfect starters; complex flavors blended to perfection. The Secreto Ibérico was delicious & tender & Dorado a La Sal was moist & sweet. This is food handled with care & creativity. GO THERE NOW!!” written by Alita R.
