The Classics.

The first thing you have to know is there are some “basic garments” that can’t miss in your closet. These are the classic pieces you would use for a lifetime because they never go out of style and also, the ones you should spend a little bit more money. Like a good jean that highlights your body. An elegant blazer, and why not, two of them! A pair of black and nude heels, easy to match with every color. A nice pair of Ankle boots, a good trench coat, a cool jean jacket, a cute daily purse, and the famous little black dress, which will never let you down. It’s useless to have a million things if you don’t have these essential pieces to dress up!

The two F’s.

But how to know which are the fast fashion items? You don’t have to be an expert to recognize them; these particular pieces are the most elaborate, and the ones you know you will be tired of them fast. Like for example, a ruffled blouse, a -color of the moment- garment, or a couple of bold dresses that you would wear just one or two nights. Stores like H&M, Zara, DKNY, Forever 21, among others, will be your allies to shop in this category. And of course, online, where you’ll find the best deals.

It’s important to remember.

That’s why is important to have a budget and to purchase the indispensable. Make a list of the things you need and stick to it! Be aware of what you are buying, make sure you choose right quality pieces that will not get damaged after a few washes. Most importantly, have fun doing it!
