The Salty Donut is an Artisanal Donut Shop & Coffee Bar focused on chef-made, small-batch craft donuts using nothing but the highest quality ingredients and making EVERYTHING in house! They also have an incredibly unique coffee program, featuring rotating coffees with interesting flavor profiles, crafted by some of the best baristas around. The Salty came to be because of a void in the beloved South Florida community. The entire country is experiencing a blossoming of craft donut shops and amazing coffee shops that offer unique coffee experiences, and South Florida is EONS behind in both of those categories. It’s a well-known fact that SoFla tends to be on the tail-end of gastronomic trends. Their first pop up location opened since last december at Wynwood and now they are opening their second location at The Confidante 4041 Collins Ave, Miami Beach. Here is more information about Salty Donut :
According to Eater :
“Popular local donut makers Salty Donuts are taking its talents to Sobe, for a new pop-up inside the Confidante Hotel starting July 16. It’ll feature poolside donuts and something its Wynwood location doesn’t have: mimosas. ” written by Olee Fowler.
According to Miami.com :
“Starting July 16, Miami Beach doughnut aficionados will no longer have to cross the bridge to Wynwood to stand in line Friday through Sunday (hoping they don’t sell out) for artisanal doughnuts with flavors such as maple glazed, brown butter salt and weekly specials, such as recent Key lime and passion fruit glazed. No more standing in line on the desolate Wywnood street in the hot sun. From Thursdays through Sundays, 8 a.m. until 2 p.m., doughnut lovers can eat their spoils at the pool-side beach house (read: air conditioning) at the Confidante, surrounded by the hotel’s lush tropical gardens.” written by Carlos Frias.
According to New Times :
“Doughnuts aside, the public will have full access to the Confidante’s pool, bar, and restaurant area. The space offers beach access too. “The most exciting thing is that the space it’s in is just beautiful,” she says. “I could hang out there for hours. Basically, you can grab a doughnut and walk a few feet and eat it on the beach, or take it and sit by the pool.” The Confidante pop-up will serve many Salty staples, such as traditional glazed buttermilk, maple bacon, and brown butter salt, but will also serve seasonal and weekly specials unique to the Miami Beach location. There will also be a more elaborate coffee program, along with mimosas and other champagne-inspired drinks.” written by Clarissa Buch.
