The Gang Restaurant & Lounge originating from Europe, is Midtown Miami’s out of the box urban gastropub concept with a Wynwood edge located on the corner of North Miami avenue and 35th street serving an East Asian mixed menu with a Bangkokian Thai twist. The Gang offers a “Late Night Lounge Experience” with a full liquor menu, a mixology bar, a state of the art sound system and an open floor room designed with a London hipster feel. Here is more information about The Gang Miami :
According to Zagat :
“A husband-and-wife team from Romania brings an Asian fusion concept to Wynwood that doffs its hat to “the gang,” their circle of artist pals, and covers a wide swath of Japanese, Indian and Thai flavors. The loftlike, industrial space boasts color-blocked chairs and blue washing machines converted into a bar, plus a creative spirit that extends to the presentation of dishes like homemade noodles, served in giant shareable trays.”
According to Miami.com :
“The Gang is a new restaurant in midtown Miami where servers inexplicably dress as doctors in white coats, with stethoscopes and fake eyeglasses. The 90-seater is owned by a Romanian couple yet features Asian fusion, with an emphasis on Korean, Indian and Vietnamese flavors, although nobody from those cultures appears to be in the kitchen or anywhere nearby. “Would you like me to check your heart?” a waiter awkwardly laughed, waving his stethoscope at us. We can forgive Miami newcomers Bogdan and Jacqueline Niculae for trying too hard to be quirky in the shaggy-bearded ironic world around Wynwood. But it’s not so easy to forgive one small, fatty pork chop served as an entrée — despite being billed on the menu as plural chops — or the accompanying tepid pickled carrots, overly sweet pineapple sauce and bowl of plain white rice topped with green onion.” written by Jodi Mailander Farrell.
According to miamiculinarytours :
“The Gang Miami is an Asian fusion restaurant serving an east asian mixed menu with a Bangkokian Thai twist by husband and wife team Bogdan and Jacqueline Niculae. Veteran restaurateurs in their native Romania, the duo traveled throughout Asia spending time in Thailand and Hong Kong where they were inspired by the cuisine, culture, and designs. This led them to journey to Miami in hopes of replicating their success in what they describe as the most electric city. Located in the heart on Midtown on 3500 N. Miami Ave, The Gang provides an edgy culinary destination of value with generous portion servings for their artist neighbors looking for the Wynwood vibe- in essence the inspiration for the name derived from their circle of artistic friends.”
According to Yelp :
“The ambiance has a great vibe, great energy, and amazing cuisine! I loved the whole look and feel of the place. It is different from any other restaurant in Midtown, that’s for sure. It is unique from the handcrafted tables to the loft-backyard wall stylings. Asian Fusion cuisine, indeed! This is the real deal fusion right here. I am totally impressed: I had the Foie Gras as an appetizer = LIFE. The grits were perfectly creamy and the foie gras was perfectly cooked. My friend ordered the Papaya Salad. What a cool concept! Very refreshing, I am definitely ordering this on my next visit. We also ordered the spring rolls which had a delicious homemade dipping sauce. Crunchy and savory! Lastly I ordered the honey duck. OMG.. I am a connoisseur in duck cuisine and it takes a lot to impress me. The duck meat fell right off the bone, had a crisp touch and the seasoning was immaculate. It is served with mash potatoes and awesome sauces.” written by Michell D. (Rated 5 Stars).
