Sherwood’s Bistro & Bar

Sherwood’s Bistro & Bar – A Neighborhood Spot now opens at Miami, From Our tribe to yours we bring food for the natives.

According to Urban Daddy

In Robin Hood’s Sherwood, stealing from the rich and giving to the poor was the name of the game. In your Sherwood, there are no games. Only 18-ounce T-bones and pan-grilled mackerel. And a bunch of other things. Regardless, not a game. Designed and named after the neighboring historic Sherwood Forest in El Portal, it’s where you’ll find vintage tropical prints and large open windows ushering in the warm summer breeze. And it’s from the same people who gave you The Annex Wynwood and Acme Lounge. Similarities you and your date can discuss while eyeballing the comfort food-heavy menu courtesy of the chef behind Morgan’s in Wynwood. It’s called Sherwood’s Bistro & Bar, it’s open now in Little River. Great. The coq-au-vin is now fair game. As is the rabbit pot pie. As is another round of Old Fashioned.

According to Eater

A new restaurant and lounge from the co-founders of Morgan’s Restaurant, The Annex Wynwood and Acme Lounge has officially set up shop in Little River called Sherwood’s Bistro & Bar (8281 NE 2nd Avenue). Located across the street from The Citadel’s soon-to-be dining hall, it owes its namesake to the Sherwood Forest of El Portal. Its bistro menu features family-style dishes from around the world like the ploughman platter and dandan noodles, while its starters range from bone marrow to labneh yogurt to a daily crudo. Its Magnolia Bar uses spirits that are sourced and bought from small batch companies, which are used to create modern twists on old-school classics drinks. On the weekends, the bar even hosts a jazz vocalist singing live. Sherwood’s eclectic design showcases materials from around the world including bathroom fixtures from Belgium and tiles salvaged from the French embassy in Portugal. Housed in a historic building that has been completely renovated, its features themed art-filled rooms that are filled with antiques, large windows, and a massive outdoor patio and gathering space.
