Paulie Gee’s opens in Miami

Paulie Gee’s now opens at 8001 Biscayne Blvd, Miami. Pizza is the name of the game at Paulie Gee’s, who’s Miami location serves many of the pies that made the NYC outpost famous, including the Hellboy topped with soppressata and Mike’s Hot Honey. But the restaurant also embraced its new 305 home as well creating a special Jewbano pizza topped with swiss cheese, yellow mustard, Canadian bacon, pulled pork, and kosher dill pickles, that can only be found on the Miami menu. “Seeing as how they don’t accept reservations, come prepared to possibly wait. Maybe sit a spell at the Cuban-tiled bar with a cold draft beer. Maybe kill some time at the pinball machine. But soon enough, it’ll be time for pies. All made with double-zero flour in a wood-burning Stefano Ferrara oven from Naples. Some are original to Brooklyn, like the hot-soppressata-topped Dellboy. But then you’ve got the Miami-only Jewbano with slow-roasted pulled pork, Canadian bacon, yellow mustard and dill pickles. And if the place looks familiar: it was the old China Palace. Look close enough and you’ll find that it’s still lingering around. On the walls. On the plates. On the check presenters loaded with fortune cookies. “As for the menu, the same quirky toppings that made the restaurant a hit in Brooklyn were on display at each table. The Hellboy, a house favorite, came topped with soppressata, fresh mozzarella, and Mike’s Hot Honey, all on a perfectly charred dough that had been aged for three days. Off the vegan menu, the In Ricotta da Vegan — topped with house-made cashew ricotta, vegan fennel sausage, and loads of fresh arugula — surprised with potent flavors that made the absence of meat or milk-based cheese enjoyable. “OMG this place is the BOMB, this is my first time here, so I didn’t know what to expect. Friends and I can in on a Friday night for dinner, and luckily for us it was just a short wait. My girlfriend had the Prosciutto and Cherry  she said it is like heaven in your mouth , I opted for the vegan pie. WOW! Pizza will never been the same again, The creative combinations of pizza is outstanding not just your typical pizza place, gourmet over-the-top and well formulated.
