According to Eater :
“Behind the concept is the man responsible for mega-nightclubs LIV and Story, David Grutman, along with Jeffrey Chodorow, who’s best known locally with his work with China Grill management. The menu is self-described as “Asian cuisine designed to take guests on a culinary journey of the Marco Polo trail.” Translation: expect dishes like dim sum, peking duck, tuna porterhouse, wasabi shrimp and of course, plenty of cocktails.” written by Olee Fowler.
According to CBS :
“The Komodo menu is a blend of Asian cuisine designed to take guests on a culinary journey of the Marco Polo trail. The name speaks for itself. “We wanted something strong and it’s a brand we could build and Komodo says everything about us. It’s theatrical, its big, it’s a monster, this is not a small place in a shopping center – it’s Komodo,” Grutman. “It’s going to change Brickell.” So lets get to the food. We begin with Dave’s favorite the Dave Grutman’s Pastrami Egg Roll. “It’s my nana’s recipe. I used to wake up on the weekends and get her pastrami sandwiches so now I take that pastrami and shove it into an egg roll and it’s one of must amazing dishes we have,” he said.” written by Lisa Petrillo.
According to Yelp :
“Had a great time at Komodo Saturday night with my wife. The appetizers, main course and dessert were amazing. Once we walked into the restaurant, we could immediately tell that the owners put in a lot of attention to detail when it came to the look and appearance. When waking in, you immediately see golden-skinned ducks hanging along the windows like they do in Chinatown. The bar area was fully stocked like any high-end restaurant on South Beach. When we sat down, surrounded by beautiful people and celebrities, the architecture design of the restaurant was equally impressive. ” written by Mason (rated 5 stars).
