Under the guise of a marquis, this hotel is old and dingy and deserves to be torn down. It has an amazing pool and has amazing views but that is about it. Their banquet hall culinary capability is quite clueless when it comes to vegetarian selections. They have no idea of how to prepare them nor spice them. This hotel is certainly not worth the premium price that they charge.

I was expecting a luxury hotel from the JW Marriott Marquis brand which would include a fantastic experience. Unfortunately, the great experience ended at check in. Although we arrived at 8:00 pm the rooms were not cleaned. Our room was delivered at 9:00pm; but many other guests had waited 3 hours or more. The mattresses have got to be the worst in the hotel industry. Their 3" padded mattress protectors did not help improve the cardboard mattresses. If you want comfortable bedding, I recommend the Starwood resorts. Upon leaving, we waited 50 minutes for a bellman after calling the front desk twice and then finally decided to carry our 7 bags by ourselves. The positive for me is that I can remove Marriott from the list of brands that I trust. I'll stick to the Four Seasons in the future. Mark

Great staff. Excellent rooms. Just make sure if you have a car in vale they added to your bill. If not they will hold your vehicle hostage. They need to improve that.

If anyone is looking for a great deal on hotels you can see them at HotelRaven. com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around... The hotel is very nice. The service for the most part was great. The only real issue was waiting over 45 minutes one morning for valet to retrieve the car. The car was called for 30 minutes ahead of time and we still waited 15 to 20 minutes in the lobby before it arrived. Still a nice place and I would stay here again.
