From the moment we arrived at the Biltmore and our car door opened by the staff, we felt welcomed and special. Each person we met seemed genuinely interested in making sure all our questions were answered and that we were enjoying our stay. We received excellent referrals on where to dine and were whisked off to any location in nearby Coral Gables we wanted to visit by personal driving staff, complimentary. We enjoyed an excellent dinner in the fountain court and presented with a complimentary dessert to help celebrate our anniversary. On another day we enjoyed an afternoon tea, again with a complimentary dessert, and enjoyed lovely music performed on a harp. The woman playing the harp was excellent. She also took the time to answer all our questions about the exquisite harp she owned. The key to the success of our stay was how fully and genuinely everyone engaged with us to make us feel special. Having had a career in hospitality myself, I can fully appreciate all the behind the scenes efforts to make a guest feel comfortable. The Biltmore staff is superb! The hotel is lovely and combined with the service and amenities, we felt we were in an oasis. Thank you to everyone at the Biltmore.

Beautifully, newly renovated Main Lobby area where we enjoyed a Tea Party!!!. For this being such a busy Hotel, I loved how it felt like we were in our own little space, secluded from other guests. The staff was really nice and helpful. The lady that played the Harp was simply amazing!!. This was a great Sunday afternoon!! Definately needs to be repeated..

I wish I could say I loved this place. My room (up in the tower, on the 14th floor) was AMAZING. The bellhop who helped me with my bags was friendly and accommodating -- even filled my ice bucket for me. But from the moment I pulled up (on my Harley), I felt rather unwelcomed by the rest of the staff. The valet guys -- who eagerly helped the family in front of me exit their car and get a cart for their bags -- literally stood and LOOKED at me. No offer of any sort of assistance. I parked my bike in the valet lane. Turned it off. Started unstrapping my bags. Dug out my wallet. And as I walked toward the door, one finally asked, "uh...are you checking in?" DO YA THINK??? That attitude extended to the front desk. I was 3 days and nearly 2,000 miles into a 10-day ride from Wisconsin to Key West. I was hot. And TIRED. And the woman at the desk looked me up and down like that snooty store clerk looked at Julia Roberts in 'Pretty Woman'. It took 3 different people (and 3 different explanations) before I was finally told where I could park my bike (even though I had emailed the hotel in advance and let them know I was riding). Someone told me there was a motorcycle rally in the area and that they have 'lots' of bikes there. That was a HUGE surprise, since no one seemed to know how to handle it. Went down to the little bar/pub on the 1st floor, which was crowded with parents moving their kids in to a local university. I stood to the side trying to figure out where to sit (there were a couple of empty bar stools -- but they had purses on them, and no one offered to move one). The bartender pretty much ignored me. I was so uncomfortable by this point I went back upstairs and ordered room service. Finally, in the morning after checking out, I went out to the courtyard for the breakfast that was included in my room cost. The young woman at the counter eagerly helped the two couples in front of me but, when it was my turn, she just stood there and looked at me. (Yes...I had my gear and my helmet in hand. But I saw other people with their luggage going into have breakfast). I finally had to ask her if I needed to wait to be seated. This is a beautiful hotel with a great pool; it is a historic place and is probably one of the most popular resorts in Florida. Perhaps they should put some more money into properly training their staff on how to provide adequate customer service to ALL guests.

My favorite place, great drinks and food. Beautiful architecture and atmosphere. Extremely historical, I love walking around observing all the architectural details and old pictures. Excellent culinary school for both adults and kids. Spa is also another favorite with many wonderful options.
