Area 31’s breathtaking vistas provide the wow factor, but Chef Birk’s elegant yet approachable cuisine draws full attention to the plate. Our name is drawn from Fishing Area 31, an international zone designated by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization as a sustainable fishery, a vision that Area 31 embraces and advances. From the kitchen to the bar, we like to source local—so local, in fact, that sometimes we don’t even have to leave the premises! Our on-site herb garden provides fresh ingredients to both the kitchen and the bar and is located on our spectacular outdoor Terrace Lounge, Miami’s favorite elevated hangout. Habitually innovative, often breathtaking and always welcoming, Area 31 is here to make sure you’re never more than an elevator ride from a singular Miami experience.

I went there this past weekend to celebrate a Friends birthday.... the food was horrible, we waited 2 hours to get our food after ordering.. the waiter was terrible and rude. Never ever coming to this place and definitely will never recommend this place to anyone

Nice views, mediocre food, awful service... Yep and definitely overpriced.

Held my birthday dinner here 11/10/17. Absolutely sucked, the coordinator Christel-Pierre Louis was horrible. There is construction going on and the private reserved room doesn’t have the views; it’s plastered with a picture backdrop. She didn’t have the decency to let me know before hand. The day of the dinner she emails me and states there was contruction she is sorry and would refund me $200 on my $1100 deposit. Never refunded me anything. Never returned a call or an email. The service was terrible; the waiter was serving my private event and other tables at the same time. Which genius thought of that? The food was good but the service horrible. I would not recommend this place!!! I don’t know about the service if that will get any better unless they fire the manager and some of the staff. People pay for service and the experience; unfortunately I didn’t get any for my cost. Totally destroyed my birthday dinner and to make things worst I was going to propose. Terrible staff and service.. Amex will handle it; thanks to Amex for quality customer service and the refund. Area 31 is not worth it; there has to be better locations at the same price of better.

This place is all about the view! Sit outside to enjoy the view of the Miami skyline. The food is delicious and the staff is very friendly. Giving 4 starts due to wait for the food to come out always being very long! They also have a great brunch! Nice place to go out on a date night or brunch with friends.

We visited area 31 in the night only for drinks. The view is exactly like in the pictures: breathtaking. We took advantage of the Chase the clock offer (depending on the time you visit, they charge you the relevant amount of money for example of you are there at 18:00 you pay 6$ (plus tax) for your drink. At 22:00 you pay 10$ plus tax) The drinks were nice and the atmosphere was great. There was a combination of live music with a saxophone accompanying the music on the decks. Should pay a visit once in Miami!!!!
