Classes are taught by experienced Artist and Designer Winsome Bolt. This year’s theme is KINDNESS. Youngsters will enjoy five unique projects that inspire kindness and appreciation for the natural environment. Using nature as inspiration, each class will focus on individual creativity and expression. With Miami Beach Botanical Garden as the backdrop, youngsters will be encouraged to explore their imaginations. Workshops will be in the Banyan Ballroom. Seating is limited, so please register. Art supplies are included. All children may participate in the final exhibit at the Garden on Thursday, August 16th, 6-8 PM. Children must be accompanied by an adult for the entirety of the class. If so, bring your specimen to Fairchild’s Herbarium and let our scientists uncover its secrets! Bring a cutting from your plant to Fairchild’s Herbarium team on the first Friday of every month at 1:00 p.m. and participate in our Plant Identification Workshop. Space is limited to the first twelve people that reserve online. Real specimens are preferred over photographs. Camp Broadway enables theater-loving kids, ages 10-17, to develop their confidence, character and presentation skills through lessons in dance, acting, singing and ensemble performance! Students will be immersed in an authentic Broadway process through a wide array of classes, workshops and experiences. Inspired by Broadway’s cherished works and steeped in its grand traditions, Camp Broadway is designed to inspire creative expression and instill well-being in both aspiring students and future audiences. City Trekkers fine-tune their ear for music while they attend musical and theatrical performances. Our mini “virtuosos” perform a recital drawing from various cultural rhythms heard all throughout Coral Gables.
