Classes are taught by experienced Artist and Designer Winsome Bolt. This year’s theme is KINDNESS. Youngsters will enjoy five unique projects that inspire kindness and appreciation for the natural environment. Using nature as inspiration, each class will focus on individual creativity and expression. With Miami Beach Botanical Garden as the backdrop, youngsters will be encouraged to explore their imaginations. Workshops will be in the Banyan Ballroom. Seating is limited, so please register. Art supplies are included. All children may participate in the final exhibit at the Garden on Thursday, August 16th, 6-8 PM. Children must be accompanied by an adult for the entirety of the class. In May 1940, Germany advanced into France, trapping Allied troops on the beaches of Dunkirk. Under air and ground cover from British and French forces, troops were slowly and methodically evacuated from the beach using every serviceable naval and civilian vessel that could be found. At the end of this heroic mission, 330,000 French, British, Belgian and Dutch soldiers were safely evacuated. Rock ‘n’ roll legends Ratt and Ace Frehley co-headline. Ratt‘s signature sunset strip sound made the Los Angeles-based outfit one of the most popular rock acts of the mid-80s. Ratt helped pioneer Hollywood’s legendary hard rock sound and scene, and its members are proven legends, headlining massive arena tours. The band has sold in excess of 15 million albums in the U.S. alone. Ratt released its self-titled debut album independently in 1983. Their first major label release, “Out of the Cellar,” was a multi-platinum breakthrough and followed by three additional platinum smashes in the 1980s.
